Peru

Peru

is a breath-taking country with dramatic landscapes that change suddenly from desert to snowy mountains and, from that to rainforest

The cliffs of the moody Lima contrast with the white houses of Arequipa that, believe me, have nothing to do with the style of construction of Cusco! Besides its natural heritage, Peru is home to more than 5000 archaeological sites, an enormous multicultural heritage filled with traditions and ancient history.

The people are very very welcoming, used to the tourists that come from all over the world to see the marvels that the country has to offer.

Food wise, what can I say… Lima is known to be the home to many of the most renown restaurants in the world. But even if you cannot get a reservation in a fancy place to eat (p.s. I didn’t), you will not get disappointed!

Ceviche, Lomo Saltado, Aji de Gallina, Causa (oh I loved Causa!), Rocoto, Pollo a la Brasa, you name it, can be found in the menu del dia in most local restaurants for a locally affordable price. Speaking Spanish helps but, in these places, just smile, point at a name in the menu del dia and try whatever new dish they will give you! It is fun and you won’t regret it!

From mummies stored in the back warehouse of a hotel in the middle of an oasis (weird right?) to towns that float on lake Titicaca, in Peru, we can guarantee….

you will found no boredom!
